• Oversaw the general operations and set agendas for the organization including:

• (a) helping members gain access to key industry leaders; (b) coalition building; (c) expanding the organization’s outreach in underprivileged communities; (d) assisting membership in reaching personal goals; (e) bipartisan outreach; and (f) development of black leaders 

• Executed organization’s premier event, “A Tribute to Our Trailblazers” – an annual award ceremony held to honor current and former African American staff for their exemplary work and service to the United States Congress 

• Crafted organization’s “Support a Black Business (SBB)” initiative which works to identify a network of black small businesses in the Washington, DC metropolitan area 

• Served as liaison between CBA and other staff organizations, Members of Congress, community leaders and partners

• Assisted Northeastern Chapter Presidents in fundraising initiatives & enhancement of chapter development 

• Collected Tougaloo National Alumni Dues 

• Organized regional fundraisers 

• Served as alumni liaison officer with the College’s Recruitment Office

• Identified and recruited alumni for membership

• Disseminated information from TCNAA to the local chapters

• Established, in conjunction with chapter presidents, an Alumni Resource Bank
